Can I really text you?

Yes, you can really text us. We use Spruce, a secure telecom platform, to manage our phone tree, voicemail, secure messaging, and text messaging. We have the Spruce app on our phone, so you’re not texting any of our personal numbers, you’re texting our office phone number, and our entire team has access to the messages. You can choose to use SMS (regular text messaging) or the secure app. Either way you can send attachments, but there are a few more options (including video calls) in the app.

Can I really have a video call?

Yes, you can really have a video call — for certain conditions. Video calls are great for visits that are primarily discussion, like when parents have concerns about a kid’s behavior or school performance, anxiety, or to manage an ongoing condition, like adjusting doses of medication. We can do video calls for some physical problems, like pinkeye or some rashes. We can’t do video calls for ear infections until someone invents a drone that can fly into the ear canal and send photos of the eardrum.

I think my baby might have a tongue tie, but I’m not sure.

Come in for a visit. If the doctor is concerned about a tongue tie or lip tie affecting the baby’s ability to feed, we can release it in the same visit.

What is the regular well baby/well child schedule?

We usually see babies at 3-5 days, 7-14 days, 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months, (sometimes 30 months / 2.5y), 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, 6 years, 7 years, and every 2 years after that.
