Fall 2024 Vaccine Updates (Updated 9/30/24)

As of 9/30/24…

Updates are bolded

We’re doing our best to keep vaccines in stock, but shipping delays at the national level are causing significant backlogs that are not expected to resolve until late September or early October.

Flu

  • Flu shots for babies 6 months and up: shipment expected 10/1, scheduling is open

  • FluMist nasal: shipment expected 10/1, scheduling is open

  • Flu shots for adults with insurance: in stock, schedule at any time on the same day as your child’s visit

  • Flu shots for uninsured/underinsured adults: limited stock, need to text office to verify eligibility (AVP Program)

COVID

  • Moderna for babies 6 months and up: in stock

  • Moderna for kids 12-18: in stock

  • Novavax for kids 12-18: ordering October 1

  • Novavax for adults: shipment expected October 5

  • Moderna for uninsured/underinsuredadults: limited stock, need to text office to verify eligibility (AVP Program)

RSV (More about RSV products (PDF)):

  • nirsevimab (RSV antibody, brand name Beyfortus): in stock, schedule online. Babies under 8 months are eligible, and some babies 8 months and up are eligible depending on risk factors.

  • If you’re 32-36 weeks pregnant, you can choose to receive Abrysvo RSV vaccine, or wait for baby to be born and receive nirsevimab. Our general preference is for baby to receive nirsevimab, since it’s a “sure thing” but we do have Abrysvo in stock. Text us to schedule.

Our vaccine distributor, McKesson, is currently facing shipping delays for vaccine orders due to an unusually high volume of orders in September. CDC is monitoring the situation and working with McKesson to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
