The Great Migration (to a new tablespace)

On July 27, 2022, we went live in a new tablespace within the same AthenaHealth electronic medical record platform. This was a long-anticipated (long-delayed) move that was meant to happen as part of separating from One Sky Family Medicine in 2018. They have been graciously allowing us to stay in their metaphoric digital ADU for the last few years, but it was time to move out to our own place!

Though we aim for seamless transitions, here are some changes you’ll notice:

• you’ll need to register for a new patient portal if you want to access care summaries and lab results

• you’ll need to agree to our practice policies again (and we updated them, so read through them!)

• if you had a credit card on file, you’ll need to do that again

• payment plans for old balances should stay the same, but any new charges will need a new payment plan

We were able to bring all the patient charts, demographic information, insurance information, etc. We will be manually moving (download and uploading) clinical documents like consult notes and outside lab and imaging results, which will be a gradual process. We do not anticipate any loss of clinical information, though things may be a little harder to find for a little while.
